reverse dns

Hi All,

I have had a clients email server reject mail sent from one of my domains.

Their IT guy provided this info.

SMTP Reverse DNS Mismatch      Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

We own a vps on which the sending mail comes from.

what do I need to do?

Some forums suggest that we do not have a reverse DNS entry setup?

Any info would be great.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need PTR records for your email domains.  I use DNSDataView  to see all the listings in my DNS records.  Your PTR records will show there also.  Either you or your host/ISP need to create the appropriate records.
