Fiber Optic GBIC Module to Mini-GBIC

I've got a Cisco Catalyst 3550 that uses a GBIC Module to connect a fiber connection. We are wanting to replace it with a gigabit switch and we bought a Cisco Small Business SLM2048T-NA switch. It doesn't have the same GBIC module on it however. I've seen that we can buy a Mini-GBIC for our fiber connection, but I don't really know much about fiber connections. We need to figure out what adapter will work for hooking the fiber connection into the new switch. I've attached a pdf that has a picture of the ports on the switches and shows the fiber connection. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You'll probably need a GLC-SX-MMD= (That's the part code)

We can confirm if you tell us what the actual GBIC model is in the original switch.

You'll also need new patch cables with LC connectors at the switch end, as Soulja suggests.

Thanks for your reply. We found four Mini GBIC modules that are available. can you help me choose which one to buy?

We found a partner company that told me they can make/have a cable that would take it from SC to LC for me, so I have that part taken care of. I just want to make sure I buy the right LC SFP adapter.

Thanks again!
As I said, tell us what GBIC you have in the original switch and we can match it with a SFP equivalent.

Sorry Craig, I had already started my reply before I saw your post. I will stop out there and see if I can get this information without having to take out the module.
No worries!

If you can telnet to the original switch you can use the show inventory command - it will tell you the model number of the GBIC.

I was able to take out the module and take a picture of all the information it had. I did not telnet the device, but if this isn't the information you're looking for I can arrange to do that probably. I've attached jpgs of the front and back of the module.
