Cannot permantly change/set default destination path for HP Officejet 7500 Scanning

Hi - I'm aware that using HP solution Center gives you the option to permantly create a new scan path/directory. The 7500 does not. You can change it temporarily, but the next time you scan, it reverts back the default path of users/username/documents/scans. Is there ANY other way to change this? Maybe modifying the registry? Any help would be appreciated!

Check this if you can do this on windows

The file you need to edit in windows is

c:\users\(username)\AppData\local\HP\ScanApp.ini

The profile is  [SCAN_PROFILE_2] I believe (ProfileNameENU will be "Document to File").

There are two relevant lines:

BaseFileName =Scan

SaveFolder=K:\Users\(username)\Documents\

Change and see if this get saved to new path

In my case both of those had been changed to be something totally wrong. Once I changed them back to the above entries Scan to Computer scanned to the correct folder with the correct filename!
