SSD doesn't work on hp650

Hi,

SSD is a SANDISK 128GB ULTRAPLUS
Laptop is HP 650

I tried to install an SO But it seems the system can't find de SSD disk.

I readed that i must put SATA on ACHI mode. But this laptop doesn't have that option, or at least i can't find it.

Seems that bios configuratión on this laptop is very short on functionality

I need some help.

Thx

You may need to upgrade the firmware on your SATA controller/BIOS so the AHCI option is available if it is required.  Go into windows under device manager (or look in the bios) for the exact model of storage controller.

Once you have it, post here so we can see if there's an update that will allow for AHCI.
Also does the BIOS show the drive at all? If so then you'll need the controller drivers for that laptop possibly...

This is for Windows 7 32-bit

test if the SSD is seen on another PC - it can simply be bad
also - you can install the OS without AHCI - it is only a better, and slightly faster way to handle the drive

Agree with @nobus, he should have got these points...not sure what the procedure is to revert back at this point but I've no issues with getting these points re-assigned...
