We have a Windows Server 2012 running Hyper V and are using virtual machines over RDP with Wyse thin Clients. We have installed a dedicated graphics card in the server and have Remote FX enabled on the virtual machines. When a local video file is played the video is smooth and nearly the same as on a physical machine. However when streaming an internet video on the thin clients, the video is choppy and lags, making it almost unwatchable. This happens even on low resolution videos. Because the
Video playback is fine when playing local video files it would seem that the Remote FX function is working, leading me to believe that the problem is something to do with the network and some sort of latency when streaming video through the virtual switch. Is there any settings or modifications that can be done to improve video streaming speed over a virtual switch?
