Internal DNS Settings

I just setup Exchange 2010 at our office. I had some trouble with Outlook Anywhere, and a Microsoft support engineer helped me out with that. While he was on the server he made some adjustments, that allows us to type in internally resolving to the servername\owa, so that I don't have to type in the IP\owa. But now I can't get out to our externally hosted website. What entry do I need to put in to point to that outside website?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What did he do in DNS? You need a forward lookup zone purely for - and in that zone you should have 3 records:-

SOA should point to your exchange server (by its FQDN)
NS - as above
HOST A - should be the internal IP of your exchange server

DNS is probably where he made the change.
Most likely created a zone for and put the entries in it.
Rather than trying to keep the zone up to date, delete it (As long as it doesn't contain your AD domain information) and then recreate specific hosts.

Thanks! I added a www record A and pointed it to web hosting IP, and it seems to be working now.
