Cannon MP640 driver for Centos 6.4

I am trying  my best with no results to install drivers for a Cannon MP640 on a CentOS 6.4 desktop.  I would like to use the network capabilities of the printer.  Can anyone help?  If  I  i need to run a USB cable across the office then so be it.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That was one of my first stops.   When I go to that page it shows Linux (detected)  and none of the options have any software.

Got it ... sort of
downloaded the drivers from the Europe the only ones I could find were for the 550
extracted and ran the isntall.sh script.
received a number of errors.
after I moved the printer to were I did not want it. and connected via usb cable i rebooted and re-ran the install.sh file
still coughed up a lot of errors but somehow it started working.
not sure why and I am still looking into that - one doesn't  learn by excepting mistakes.

Thanks to all
