"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if you mean free disk space, just do df -h

Just do

df -h .

The . means report the df stats for the current directory.

Alternatively you can specify the full path, eg:

df -h /full/path/to/directory

If you go to a folder and want to find free space of the file system that folder is on?

df -hT .

Notice the dot at the end which means the current folder
