Web site vs html 5

I want to have my own web site with basic information  . I have seen new html version on the internet  . Any thing I can do with that my web site design

Yes, as HTML 5 supports new formatting and new tags for yuor web documents, you can check your website using a Validator and see whether your website needs updating:

Th3 validator will check for any errors in your web code and give suggestions on what to fix to make it HTML 5 compatible.
HTML5 is the latest version but it is no different than previous versions except...
It adds new tags that can help identify various parts of your code in a more human readable fashion
It now supports embedded video and audio, and other fancy graphic related goodies - which negates the need for Flash.
It also includes a number of other helpful stuff that previously you needed js to deal with.
But some of the new features are not available in all browsers and some of the features require the latest browser versions to work.  So if you need to support older browsers then you will not be able to use some of the newer features.
