Outlook 2010 Message Headers not appearing on sent items

We are using Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 clients.

In Outlook, selecting sent items folder, opening message, go to File, Properties, and it's blank/grey'd out. Is it expected behavior to not see message headers in sent items?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have the same Exchange 2010 Outlook 2010 environment and mine is greyed out also.  Since the message headers have info on sending and receiving that Exchange and the other mail server negotiate I wouldn't expect to see any from the client that sends the message.
You will not see the internet header as a Sender although you look at your Sent Item folder.

The internet header will appeared on email received by recipient. Reason, email was through some session before it reached recipient. The session will captured at internet header.

Header information is generated on receiving MTAs and thus on the received email you can see information from each MTA the message went through.  If you want to see the header, call the user and have them send it to you.
