SSRS report compiles in visual studio, but throws error in ssrs An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset 'UTIL'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
Must declare the scalar variable "@INPUT_StatementDocNo".
Ssrs throws that error. This report works in visual studio.  Compiles and everyone.  I don't get why I can't run it in ssrs.

Please share some more details.  Are you using report parameters?  Stored procedure with parameter?  Is @INPUT_StatementDocNo a report parameter?
In your report the parameter "@INPUT_StatementDocNo" is not matching the same type as what is in your SP.

I was using a stored procedure with parameters, it turns out the problem was the connection type.  I was using a simple sql server connection when building the report but the shared connection on the ssrs database was an ole db.

Well I figured it out myself, I still don't know why.
