resignFirstResponder not working after xCode update

So I have a method -

-(IBAction)ExitKeyPad:(id)sender {
 [sender resignFirstResponder ]

This used to work prior to the xcode update? I was using it in conjuction with a uiviewpicker. Now when I tap a text field I get a cursor and then when I tap in the same text field the keyboard pops up.

Any help would be super great.

Check the sender. If you know that it should be a specific control, call its resignFirstResponder and not from a sender (which is nil or another control).
You can use [self.view endEditing:YES];
iOS SDK: UITextField & UITextFieldDelegate
