New MyYahoo Eliminated Weather and Stock Settings

A client of mine uses the My.Yahoo.com page to track the weather for different places and track a multitude of stocks that are in different groups.

She logged in the other day and it asked her if she wanted to upgrade to the new My.Yahoo.com

Without thinking she said yes and it took her to a page that had only weather for where you are and a list of stocks that apparently Yahoo thinks are important. Not the stocks that she carefully grouped and chose.

I found a way to get her back to the old page by giving her the link
http://my.yahoo.com/?m=1
but I have no idea how long that will work.

Is there a way for her to get her old settings transferred to this new My.Yahoo.com?

This client of mine is not good with change and this was an upsetting abrupt change with no regard for her settings.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can try my.yahoo.com/switch, it works.

However,

since you agreed to change to the new version of MyYahoo it is not possible to return to the old version. It is a one way change.

It is possible, however, to access the old interface by changing the address in your browser to any international MyYahoo version. This is because the new version is officially released only in the U.S.

That means that if you change you URL from http://my.yahoo.com/ to http://uk.my.yahoo.com/ or to http://ca.my.yahoo.com/ you'll see the old version yet. But, I strongly suggest you to provide feedback and help improve the product: http://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/212118-us-my-yahoo-df
