Excel formula, need the third wednesday of the last month of the current quarter, of today's date plus 3 business days

On 9/13 of this year, (9/13 + 3 bus days = 9/18), answer should be 9/18.

On 9/16 of this year, (9/16 + 3 bus days = 9/19), answer should be 12/18.

If I understand correctly you want to add 3 business days to a date and then determine the next 3rd Wednesday (of Mar, Jun, Sep or Dec) on or after that date. Try this formula


where A1 contains your date or a formula like =TODAY()

If you want to take holidays into account when adding 3 business days then you can add a holiday range to the WORKDAY function like this


where H2:H10 contains a list of holiday dates

Note that the above formula will work with either Excel's default 1900 date system or 1904 date system (more commonly used as the default on Macs). If you can be sure that 1900 date system will be used you can use a shorter formula, to wit:
