Want to record YouTube screen-capture HD video, but display won't do 1280 x 720

My new laptop (a MacBook Air running Parallels & Windows 7) doesn't have a desktop resolution of 1280 x 720. The closest I can get are 1280 x 800 and 1152 x 720. Ideally, I'd like to show my entire desktop when recording a YouTube HD video (1280 x 720), but that doesn't appear to be an option. I tried a 1280 x 800 desktop resolution with a 1280 x 720 video and lost a bit at the top. I also tried a 1152 x 720 desktop resolution with a 1280 x 720 video and ended up with some dead space on the left and right of the video image. Is this the best I'm going to do, or are there other options?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the original video is not 1280 x 720 you would not get it? Further what are you recording the video if you could download it.

If you want the commercial options I would suggest you to use IDM (Internet Download Manager).

Or free plugin which Mozilla Firefox Browser like DownloadHelper

When you download it you won't have this problem as your saving the video as is
Capturing it off your desktop at full screen would make it like gigs in size.
There is iFunia Free YouTube Downloader for Mac, that is if you don't want it integrated with web browser
There is some images of it here if you'd like to see what it looks like.
