Cisco Pix 501 Password Reset Anal Question: Setting addresses

Hi all,

When you set the addresses in monitor mode to provide addresses for the interface and TFTP server, are you overwriting any previous address settings, or do these addresses only apply when the router is functioning in monitor mode?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you mean rommon mode?

Then you "overwrite" the IP address set in rommon mode but NOT the ip address set in the configuration when the device is acting in a normal mode.

They only apply in monitor mode M8 :)
