Outlook 2007 - restoring missing folders and emails

my OS is win 7 prof 64 bit and I use Outlook 2007.  I was hit by the csrss.exe virus which damaged  my Outlook data files, and thus I was missing folders in my email account and also emails.
I reinstalled my email account, but the new data file did not have some folders or emails.
I have quite a number of backup of the data files.  How do I update my present email account with the data files, and will it only upload those folders that are missing or emails that are missing.  I am trying to restore everything in my email account including folders and also emails.  Hope the Experts can please suggest a method of doing this.  Also how do I save the present data file just in case I screw up things again.  Thank u.

Do you have a backup?
What version of Exchange are you a member of?

If you are linking to exchange server, it will sync automatically when connected... however, if your .ost files were not fully synced prior to your problem, it will be missing data.

Your archive files are stored in .pst files. You can search your c:drive for *.pst and possibly add them back using Outlook options (data sources).

If you have a backup prior to problem, you can restore .ost and .pst files from backup and then re-attach them. You may have a profile issue though.
