Xenapp 65 - content redirection connecting to 2 farms which has precedence?

Hi all,

Currently in the middle of testing a 6.5 farm. I have configured the web interface so that it can see both farms. I just realised I have a little issue in terms of content redirection for office. On the old farm I have Office 2003 and on the new I have 2013. If I configure .doc redirection on both farms which one it go to?? or better, is there away of configuring this?

Although both are presented by the same Web Interface, both farms are still distinct. In other words, if you double click a document file from explorer published on the first farm then Office 2003 will be launched. However, if you double click a document file from explorer published on the second farm then Office 2013 will open.

Once the Web Interface displays the apps icons, its role ends there!! Everything then goes directly between the client and the XenApp the user is connected to. You see what I mean?

OK, so If I enable .doc content redirection on both farms and the user connects to webinterface that is publishing apps from both farms, what will the behavior be?
OK. Let us say you publish the following from Farm 1:

1. Word 2003
2. Outlook (whatever the version)

And you publish the following from Farm 2:

1. Word 2013
2. Outlook (whatever the version)

You enable .doc content redirection on both farms. Next you log on to Web Interface (WI). WI will contact the XML brokers from both farms, which will eventually enumerate all the published apps from both of your farms.

Now if you launch the outlook from farm 1, open an email with .doc attachment, and open it, then Word 2003 will launch. But if you launch the outlook from farm 2, open an email with .doc attachment, and open it, then Word 2013 will launch.
