Google Adwords program not able to "Add Account"

Morning folks, I am trying to install the Google Adwords manager program onto a new pc within the offices, it is already installed onto one machine, but a colleague needs to use it on a seperate machine.

When the software is installed (seemingly successfully) it asks to add user, if we type in the user details it waits ages (approx 3-4 mins) before coming back with an error

56 - Received HTTP code 403 from proxy after connect

We have checked new user on the old machine, and this works fine, so the error doesn't appear to tie into the user, but be tied to the machine.

On checking the ISA logs, we see the following error message:

995 The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request

But we cannot see where is issue is coming from, if a similar operation is performed on the original machine it logs in correctly, and an ISA log appears saying successful.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry Pradeep, that didn't help. I've already seen that having done the usual Google Searches.

Have you check for any proxy in the machine itself?

type below command in the elevated command prompt and check if any proxy is configured:

netsh winhttp show proxy

Yes, they both go through the same Proxy server - no difference on the machines.

did you make exceptions for this machine/IP in ISA?

Jeremy BromleyIT ConsultantAuthor Commented:
Not that we can see. Unfortunately we did not setup the original machine, so I'm not 100% certain where to look in the ISA 2006 for where these exceptions might be.

Okay, can't see any specific settings for this PC, both machines fall into the x.x.x ip range (30 and 93), and this range is covered in the internal policies list.

We've now sussed it, it appears that we need to install the ISA client. Now goes straight in.
