3560X versus 3750X

This is what I plan:
FW <--> distibution WAN switch<--> core/distro switch <--> internal network
                                           |                              |
                                           |--------> core2/distro switch <----> internal network

Is it better to get a 3750X or a 3560X is sufficient for the distribution WAN?

You will be able to stack the 3750's and not the 3560. About the only true difference between them.
N-WConnect With a Mentor Commented:
If you only plan on running a single switch for your WAN distribution, then you should go for the 3560X with either IP Base (layer 3 services) or IP Services software (advanced layer 3 services).

If you plan on running multiple switches for redundancy, then go for the 3750X and utilise the StackWise and StackPower features. This allows you to stack the switches as a single switching unit and also stack the power supplys across all member switches. As with the 3560X, you would also run either IP Base or IP Services on all 3750X member switches.

More information on both switches can be found here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps6406/data_sheet_c78-584733.html
