Import ACT to Salesforce

Hello, we are using ACT 2010 right now and we want to switch to the cloud and use Salesforce. Now we are only using very basic features of ACT: adding  a contact, and then adding manual notes.

I want to export this data to Salesforce. Salesforce told me the contacts can be imported via CSV but they are not sure about all the notes. Has anyone done this?

Yeah ... but depends, what Edition of SalesForce are you going to?

I am going to just use the basic Contact Manager edition. Please advise we are looking to swap asap.
You can't import Notes into the Salesfoce basic edition ... it's one of the limitations of the cheaper versions

Oh thanks, 395 sounds kind of steep though :(
Well, when you look at the cost of SalesForce Professional or Enterprise over a year, it's not all that much ... I could probably get it for you at $345
