SharePoint Off-line Client

I've created a quick 'n dirty List for Asset Tracking of computer parts in SharePoint 2010/Enterprise.

My  next step is to enhance the List by creating a nice form using InfoPath...just an FYI.

At times, a person will need to take an offline laptop to collect information of computer parts and then upload that info to the SharePoint List.  Are there any SharePoint Clients or 'recommended' way of doing this?

I've Google-d for offline clients, but I wanted some tips from Experts.

Thank you.

SharePoint Workspace (Part of Office 2010) provides some offline sync capability, though i dont know how well it would work in your situation.
The problem is you are wanting to use a screwdriver as a hammer - its the wrong tool for the job.
An alternative could be to use a SQL database to hold your data and build a simple mobile front end that, when it is able to ping the DB, it auto syncs its results
