problem to renewing certificate exchange 2010

Hello guys, i have this problem: my Exchange certificate is expired and when i try renew it the file *.req created is unreadable (ex: ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿).
Then i try to create a new certificate - i generated the file req from this site:
After finished the procedure and i assigned the roles at the new certificate i have another problem. Outlook in RPC mode doesn't work, the error is: Unable to connect to the proxy server error code 8.

can anyone help me?

Assuming you generated the new CSR, uploaded it to digicert, completed the request with the new cert downloaded and assigned the servces required to the new certificate.

Did you do a restart of IIS?  open up the run command and type: iisreset /noforce

Yes it's correct.
From internal lan Outlook is ok, but in RPC mode is disconnected.
