WinExec on Windows Mobile

A client wants me to provide a Windows Mobile middle man where we'll offer a choice of installed programs and execute (start up) their choice.  I've used WinExec() on Windows, proper, seemingly forever.  I haven't been able to find a Windows Mobile equivalent.  Anyone?  Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

WinExec was provided by MS only for compatibility with 16 bit windows api and was never supported on Windows Mobile, PocketPC or other Windows CE based operating systems.

As these small devices only have limited resources, the supported Windows API function are also not the fuill set you get on desktop windows.

Instead of WinExec you have to use CreateProcess(): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms687393%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
