Configure Maintenance Plans Logs
I want to limit the total size of my Maintenance Plan logs by eliminating all entries older than 1 year.
Isn't there a simple way to do this through the SQL Server Management Studio GUI?
When I right click on SQL Server logs (Maintenance Plan logs are not part of this), a config window pops up which offers to limit the number of SQL Server logs, but I don't see an equivalent way of limiting the Maintenance Plan logs.
And in any case, this would not allow me to set a maximum age for entries.
What's the simple way of limiting the age of maintenance plan log entries?
Thanks in advance.

Actually, no. The maintenance plan cleanup task is for the optional text files that maintenance plans can generate. Not for the main logs themselves.
I'm going to resubmit the question.

Maintenance Plan Tasks-toolbox | History Cleanup Task does the logs. You were correct.
