Diskpart hangs on a server when you try to run it

I have a server that is running 2008 Ent R2 SP1 and we have a issue where if you open a command prompt and run diskpart it will act like it is running buh then hang befor you get the "DISKPART" prompt.

After a reboot it works fine. It seems like there is something causing a memory leak or some sort of conflict in the system with Diskpart.

Server is fully patched. Any ideas what would cause this or what I can look for when it is hanging that will help determine where the issue is?

Check this link to see if the issue could be caused due to a deadlock on VDS.exe

Diskpart Command Hangs

This might have to do with incorrect controller selection or inappropriate driver with the disk and/or any issues with the disk itself. Please do a check on that.

In addition, I recommend you use checkntfs.exe to perform a disk error check and make sure Plug and Play is also running with RPC and Virtual Disk.

For the possible problem with the incorrect controller selection how would I check to see if that is a issue? These are HP DL servers.
