File Share corruption

We have identified some file corruption on one of our network shares,  Several hundred folders and countless files are affected.  Many of the files are pdf and word and excel files that will no longer open.  We have identified that all folders that have a modified date after a specific date and time (a few days ago) are the ones corrupted.
We can go folder by folder and right click > properties and select 'restore previous version' and restore to a version before the corruption date and time, but is a time consuming process.

Are there any options to do it more in mass?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you tried just running a chdsk on the affected disk?
