Citrix selfservice error

We have one Toshiba laptop that everyday gets a selfservice.exe error.  I read a post that stated by renaming the selfservice file name it would fix it.  Well it did stop the error, but it also stopped Citrix from working.  I renamed all the selfservice files.  Maybe that was incorrect.

How do I get Citrix working and stop the selfservice error. I don't have the laptop so I can't describe the exact error.  I do recall that part of it states the laptop is low on memory.

So this is a laptop using Citrix? Are they using the standard plugins? If so, I would recommend you simply uninstall and update to the latest receiver.

The low memory error - is that coincidental perhaps? What system RAM does the machine have? Check its pagefile configuration. If it's something system-managed, set it to at least 1.5x physical RAM (ideally 2x) to help prevent pagefile fragmentation.

laptop has plenty of ram 4 gig.  The problem is definitely Citrix, because when it's uninstalled or selfservice renamed, there is no problem.  I'm download 4.0 now.  We are currently using 3.0.

Make sure when you uninstall the plugin to remove any remnants and restart the laptop before reinstalling the latest plugin.

I uninstalled it, but there is still a Citrix folder and registry keys.  Do I manually need to delete those?
