any one can get it's reason:

Run VM on Virtual-box and found this error while run command.

[root@LBClusterNode01 ~]# yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=c5-media grouplist
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit

Error getting repository data for c5-media, repository not found

I already checked different forums found this should be enable:

In  """ /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Media.repo  """"

Its already enabled as mentioned but error still same.

Your prompt reply will be appreciative.

@smksa: if you edit /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Media.repo you can see that c5-repo has files in /media/CentOS, /media/cdrom or /media/cdrecorder (section [c5-media], parameter baseurl=).

So to use c5-media repo you have to mount your CentOS 5 DVD in /media. If you have default configuration, put your CentOS DVD into your CD reader.
If I'm not mistaken, the "c5-media" is the CD/DVD, so you would only have to enable that "repo" if you want to install something directly from the installation DVD. Of course the DVD or CD would also have to be present in the drive.

Hi  rindi,

Thanks for quick response, you are correct as you informed, now kindly share how i can enable "repo" in my case. ?

I never install anything directly from the CD/DVD, I prefer using online repo's, as those are more current. So I'm not sure whether the drive must be mounted. The repo itself is enabled the same way as all other repo's. So i suggest you try it when the drive is mounted.

But I still don't see any need for installing from the CD.
