Invoking a web item from a remote page

Hi all
I have a page = PageA with a placeholder: ph1
Ph1 refences a  parts = PartA.
The object ph1 refrence is a GridView: with dynamic columns.

Now, I want to reuse the ph1 or call it from a differnt parts: PartB which is a webuser control.
I have a method on_click that will supply the ph1 object with the same column but , using a differnet search criteria.
It this possible ?
If not any work around..

Thanks for your interest.

Find a work around but getting this msg
cannot use the user control  because it is registered in web.config and lives in the same directory as the page.
The reason you get the error:  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.configuration.tagprefixinfo.aspx
(See the note half way down the page.)

You should be able to fix this by adding a register directive to the page where you are reusing the control.

<%@ Register Src="~/ucpath/uc.ascx" TagPrefix="ctl" TagName="uc1" %>
