Exporting OU information/users as a list?

Hi,

I'd like to export a list of usernames, e-mail addresses etc from an OU in my AD. How could I do that? Why isn't there a simple 'export' function!?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Please try thru Active Directory User & Computers. Right Click on the OU and select Export List Option. You could export the details to a csv file. Also you could change the columns in the listing thru View -> Add/Remove Columns.

D'oh ... I missed that option ... I've realized too though that it's not about exporting the content of an OU but of a security group ... I'd like to have a list of all the users inside of that security group, with their details?

Maybe I should create a new thread for this and delete this one?

If you have Powershell module for Active Directory (Windows Server 2008 R2), you can use the following command.

Get-ADGroupMember <groupName> | select name,samaccountname,distinguishedname

Also, you could execute the following command from command prompt in a DC.

dsget group "<Distinguished Name of Group>" -members
