Public folders Exchange 2010

In Exchange 2003 we were able to connect to  public folders when browsing to it by creating a new website in IIS and setting the home directory to \\.\BackOfficeStorage\companyname.co.uk\Public Folders\folder name

this then listed the virtual directories Exchweb and Public.

I need to do the same in Exchange 2010 but firstly don't know the home directory path where public folders are located and wondering whether this is already setup?

Please help

Thanks

In Exchange 2003, access to public folders in this way uses a protocol called WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning).

Unfortunately, this has be discontinued in Exchange 2010 and instead now supports access using EWS (Exchange Web Services).
You should look at using SharePoint. MS is trying to get rid of Public Folder. It will be better if you move to SharePoint rather using Public folders.
