SQL Sever 2008 Memory usage

Dear All,
I have SQL Server 2008 that is running on VMware VM installed with windows server 2003 R2 64 bit.

8 GRAM are assigned to this VM and the vsphere performance for this VM shows that the memory usage is 16%

But inside the OS ( with monitoring tool) the memory usage is 98 % and sqlserver.exe process is using high memory (which is normal for SQL structure).

I need to know the actual memory usage in the server, I can not decide if i need to assign more memory to the server or no.

Kindly advice.

You need to check the memory pressure on your server, use performance counter to determine
