Create Zip File of Current Access Database & Email

Hello - Because of a major failure in our backup system, I would like to figure out how to create a zip file of the currently open Access database and then email it.

My goal here is to make sure I ALWAYS have a backup even when the backup process on the server fails.

I believe I have the email part without problem, but I have no idea how to create the zip file of the database running the code.

Can you please provide sample code on how to do this?

Thank you!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It will not be easy (if it is possible at all)  to run a utility on a currently open database.
Even if you could, you risk corruption.

You may have to close the db and do this as an external procedure...
