Exchange 2003 SP2 - Database Size Limit Issue

I'm having issues with an Exchange Server 2003 SP2 database limits being set to the default limit of 18GB.  I have ran the Microsoft fix-it as well as setting the registry key.  However, the database size limit is still being recognized as 18GB and shutting down the services.

Any suggestions?

Check reg change again. Whether you update correct entry or not or reboot the server.

The registry entry is very easy to get wrong. If you have copied and pasted it, then it is easy to get an additional space in the entry so it isn't recognised.
No need to restart the server though - just restart the information store service. The higher entry will be shown in the event viewer.
