Hi All,

I have setup my SQL 2008 R2 DB mirroring for 1 DB, the size for the DB is 800 GB, my log file is growing very fast and I need to shrink it, I ran the shrink command but the size is still very large, what is the best way to handle the log file and to clear it in a regular bases, Im using DB mirroring and I need to know the best way to clear the log and to keep my mirroring running,

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Head over to here, recent solution regarding the log management.

But, you may need to disconnect your mirror for a time? Then reconnect?
