What are these registrations on my WordPress site?

I keep on getting emails of the form

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you allow the public to create accounts on your site?

I did at one time but I thought that I turned it off. How do I change it?

You may not have turned it all the way off.  Go to Settings | General to disable.  Then read this:

I don't have the checkbox checked and registrations should not be enabled. However, I am still getting registrations. Should I get WangGuard or investigate how registrations are getting in?
Jason C. LevineDon't talk to me.Commented:
Investigate and do a hack check.  Look for injected code in your functions.php in the theme, changed files and/or have Sucuri do a scan and/or use one of the better security plugins to scan files (http://wordpress.org/plugins/gotmls/ is a decent choice as is http://wordpress.org/plugins/tac/).  It is trivial to create a couple of lines of code that an attacker can use to automatically create accounts:

I got it to compile and it found some malicious code. I cleaned it out and we'll see if it solved the problem

I'm still getting some registrations.

What kind of php statements would indicate registration?
Jason C. LevineDon't talk to me.Commented:

But it's likely to be encoded.  At this point, you really should hire a service to clean out your site.  Sucuri is excellent at this.
dovidfCEOAuthor Commented:
I've had Sucuri before and they didn't fix this problem. I didn't address directly to them but their standard clean up found other stuff but not this.
Jason C. LevineDon't talk to me.Commented:
If you don't ask them, they won't do a deep scan.
dovidfCEOAuthor Commented:
I'm going to contact Sucuri
dovidfCEOAuthor Commented:
Sucuri said that they couldn't handle this. They suggested the WordPress forums.
dovidfCEOAuthor Commented:
I have had no response from the Wordpress forums. How can I find the registered user names in my website?
Jason C. LevineDon't talk to me.Commented:
Look at the wp-users table...
