I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You are going to probably need to use the LockSmith Program - from what I do recall, it is not free.  If you are a Domain Administrator, you may be able to get in and reset the local admin Password.  Of course, if this is a DC, you will not be able to do so.

There are different ways to gain access.
You can boot the system with a windows 2008 DVD or any bootable setup that will let you access c:\windows on the drive UBCD, You need to replace the easy access utility that is present on the logon screen with the cmd.exe this will give you a command window running with system privileges.

There are many guides to regain access to your system.
However, if you used EFS or any other security features, resetting the password will lock you out of access for those items unless you have backups of the certificates.

That is the utility.
Have you regained access to the system?
