Outlook Delegates

Hello,

I have exchange 2010 and clients running outlook 2007. The office is a lawfirm that has several attorneys and secretaries. I have the following setup:

I setup several mail universal security groups in excahnge. Each group has one secretary. I then have the group in the delegates section for their assigned attorney. This works great internally, the delegates are able to accept and send incites with no problems. The issue is that when someone from outside our network sends that attorney and invite, the deleagte does not receive the invite.

The reason why I am using these groups is because its easy to add or remove users from those groups for coverage needs.

The reason why I'm using universal security groups instead of mail universal distribution groups is because when I try adding a UDG as a delegate outlook does not let you.

Has anyone come across this issue?
Thank You

Hello,

By default, distribution groups in Exchange 2010 will only accept email from authenticated users. Open the properties page of the group in EMC and go to the Mail Flow Settings tab. Click Message Delivery Restrictions and click Properties. Uncheck "Require that all senders are authentication"
