Absolute link ?

I have an include file that has a script that will redirect to a page, this is part of the code:

        window.location.href = '../signout.asp';

Problem is that this include file is sometimes at the root level, sometimes included on page one or two levels up.
Also, this site is hosted in different domains, so I cant use an absolute link: http://www.domain.com/signout.asp

Is there a way to link to the root folder of the website then the page?  Something like:  'root/signout.asp' ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
