Error on page after installing SSL

I have a web application that was running fine, the SSL expired and the IT of my client installed a new one, but since then when they log into the web application they get this error:

The URL you attempted to reach has an ISAPI or CGI application installed that verifies user credentials before proceeding. This application cannot verify your credentials

Same ASP files on different server work just fine. Any clues ?  Maybe their IT changed some IIS setting ?

I would check to be sure your SSL cert has been updated on the problem IIS box..

Check using certutil,  MMC Plug-in/snap-in for certs/IE/firefox/etc.  I suspect one of those is going to point to your issue.

Was the new cert installed in IIS or using the MMC Snap-in/IE?  I think there is confusion when you use the snap-in that you install it under a user context versus server context.  Then, IIS is a whole different issue.  But it does seem like you have contention/confusion between the new cert and the old.  You do need to get the cert updated on all of your devices.
