Mac drives versus PC
We have a MAC drive - Deskstar - that won't boot - we can hear it spinning, no clicking. We have taken it out of the MAC and tried to boot it in a PC but it doesn't get recognized in the BIOS.
Does MAC do something proprietary with their drives so that even if I took a new MAC drive out of a MAC and plugged it into a PC it wouldn't show up in BIOS?
The drive is about 5 years old.
