I cannot save files back directly to Sharepoint when I open them from Sharepoint

Hi All

Does anyone know what I need to do to rectify this issue

Whenever I open a document on SharePoint and edit it, it asks me to save it locally rather than overwrite the version I have on SharePoint.

Any thoughts?

Hi John,
can you please post more info about your environment?
Which SharePoint version and edition?
Which Office version (and if you use 32 or 64 bit)?
Which browser / client OS?
Have you enabled "Check-in / Check-out" in your document library?

Hi All

This was resolved when I moved from a Terminal Services environment back to a LAN setup. All now works fine so it must have been an authentication issue of some sort.

Thanks for your help. :)

A change to my environment resolved the issue without having to actually make any SharePoint changes.
