I am looking for a good FTP hosting site

I am looking to setup a FTP site so I can share larger files with the outside world. I have been researching and struggling on finding a good site. I have a few things I am looking for:

1. I would like for a website to host it
2. I would like to get the best deal, perfer free but if cannot then cheapest deal

Does any one have any suggestions?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just to share, I would recommend dropbox. If you need actual FTP access here is some lists:

http://www.drivehq.com/ftp/
http://freehosting1.net/free_ftp_hosting.aspx

Yeah i looked into dropbox. I think all you can do is upload files and share those files with a link via email, correct?

Toobigforemail might work for sending large files but again that is sending email
drivehq -- Im looking at but there are alot to choose from and its not free
freehosting1 sites --- i looked at and its overwhelming and confusing. I dont know which one to use.

Yes to your dropbox question. If you don't need to use an actual FTP client...Go the dropbox route. (Google Drive will also do this as a FYI)

freehosting1 sites are overwhelming, its just a huge list of freehosts. They each have their own stipulations, but a finding a free service to actually give you FTP access isn't easy.
