"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

As per my work experiance, XENServer is very much stable product. You will get very less issues if you done proper CPU/Memory/storage scaling for all VM's.

If you faced any issue related to VM like any VM get hanged in reboot or stuck at any state then you can run "xe-toolstack-restart" in xenserver console to resolve it. It is really good command which help to resolved many issues related to xenserver.

Below are the some command which will help you in monitoring.

xe-toolstack-restart      -- Restarts the XAPI-tools
df -h      -- Shows the amount of free disk space
xsconsole      -- Starts the text based menu console
fdisk -l      -- List the disk partitionsxentop Lists top Xen processes
iostat -d 2 6      -- Shows Storage trafic stats (6 reports, 2sec a part)
top      -- Lists top processes in Dom0
netstat -s      -- Shows networking statistics
xen-bugtool --yes      -- Builds a status report when Xapi is down
mpstat 2      -- Shows processor statistics in Dom0 (every 2 sec)
less /var/log/dmesg      --- Displays Boot Messages from Linux
vmstat 2      --- Show virtual memory in Dom0 (every 2 sec)
list_domains      -- Lists all VMs that are running (on this server)

Refer attached pdf for command details.

If you still face any other issue then don't worry. We are here to help you. ;)
