Make excel document that is in all CAPS "Proper" (Lowercase)

I have an excel spreadsheet and all of the data on the sheet is in capital letters. Is it possible to convert all of the text to "proper" formatting? E.g. DOG would be Dog.

Thank you!

Or you can use this simpler macro.

Sub MakeProper()

Dim c As Range

For Each c In ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Cells
    c.Value = Application.Proper(c.Value)

End Sub

Open in new window

Here is a macro that will convert text constants in a user-selected range into Proper case (each word starts with leading capital letter, balance of word lower case). Cells containing a formula, numbers or error values will be unaffected.

Install the macro in a regular module sheet. To use the macro, first select the cells to be converted, then launch the macro with ALT + F8 macro selector.
Sub ProperText()
'Converts text into Proper case
'Select the range to be converted before running the macro
Dim cel As Range, rg As Range
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
On Error Resume Next
Set rg = Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants, xlTextValues)
On Error GoTo 0
If Not rg Is Nothing Then
    For Each cel In rg.Cells
        cel.Value = Application.Proper(cel.Value)
End If
End Sub
