Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit)

Does anyone know where I can download a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium?

I have the product key but can't find my CD.

I need to reinstall it on my pc.

Thanks a lot in advance

Haven't tested this but it looks promising

Microsoft Windows Vista Official

http://downloadsnfix.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/microsoft-windows-vista-official-iso.html

You must download the .exe, the boot.wim and the install.wim in the same place. Run the .exe file and it will extract all the files into a folder called Vista. Windows installer will now start (cancel the installer).

To create a bootable .iso extract the files to the Vista folder and download Imgburn. Launch imgburn and select "Create Image file from files/folders"

I followed your instructions to the T.

Yet, when I tried to install this vista, it errored out saying that install.win could be found.

What could have been wrong?

Sometimes it doesn't always work as expected, however here are a few things to try.

Ensure that the drive you are installing to has no remnants of the old OS lurking.
I normally prepare a drive using Diskpart with the Clean command before installing an OS or if I have Data on other Partitions I normally delete and then recreate the Primary Partition.

Use these insructions to recreate the ISO

http://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-burn-downloaded-windows-vista-to-dvd/

Then burn the ISO again using Imgburn at a slower speed.

It could be a corrupted boot.wim file, so I would download the boot.wim file and then try again.

The install WORKED!

I have 1 TB of external hd space.

So, I copy the vista folder to this drive and installed it from there.

Everything went well.

Thanks a lot for your  help.
