BenQ W1070 projector not playing HDMI input from Sony BDPS470 BluRay player

Why won't the BenQ play the HDMI source from the Sony BluRay player?  The BenQ picks up other HDMI sources, just not the Sony.

Native Resolution 1080p (1920 x 1080)
HDMI Deep Color Output: 10, 12 bit, off
Vertical Scan Rate 23-120Hz
Sony BDP-S470 BluRay player
BD/DVD-ROM 1080/24p Output

Does the projector display the Sony splash screen from the BR player?  Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Projector doesn't display Sony splash screen from the BR player.  

Switched the HDMI cable out and now it works fine.
