Exchange 2010 Read Only Access to Specific Mailbox Subfolder

We presently have a folder that is created by our archiving solution that is essentially a subfolder in everyone's mailbox.  Users would drag mail into that specific folder, we'll call it Archive, and a job would run from our archiving software to pull whatever was in those folders into the archive.  We need to know if there is a way to make this Archive folder read only, so users will not be able to move items into it any more, but still have the ability to read items, and move them out of it.  Are there any permissions or something that can be done on the Exchange level to all mailboxes that have this specific folder name, making it read only?

No, this is not possible. The mailbox owner has full control over all folders in the mailbox and this cannot be changed.

Not Possible, i have same setup for one of my customer, where they uses Emailxtender. We need to educate the user how to use this folder and not move anywhere else.

Thanks, can you provide a valid Microsoft based article that proves this.  I need to make this a valid business case.  Thanks again.

There is no such article available. It is by design.
