iphone ios7 exchange

I am helping someone at work who has an iphone with ios7 on it. we have an exchange 2003 server.
he gets his email fine, and calendar items were fine as well. However, recently, just the current day's events are not showing on his iphone. for instance, today is the 4th, and nothing is showing up on the calendar even though he has several items. but if you look at the 7th for instance, all his calendar items show. So yesterday ( 3rd ) nothing showed, but the 4th showed fine.
So it seems like only the current day isn't showing.
I have heard that there are problems with the calendar and the iphone, but I was hoping maybe someone has run into this, and if so is there a fix?

Is the set in the activesync policy on the exchange server to only sync so many days?
JeffBeallAuthor Commented:
I don't think it would be the sync so many days thing because prior to this everything worked fine, and the it's the same server.
also, i have no access to the exchange server, so i wouldn't be able to look for that setting

i turned off the calendar sync in the exchange account in settings on the iphone. it took a LONG time turning off the calendar and warned me about deleteing stuff off the iphone. then when it was done, i turned syncing back on, but it didn't help.
Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

In all honesty iOS 7 does have issues at this present time and errors are completly inconsistant.  I do believe there is yet another patch coming out next week.  Do you have other iphones in the environment connecting just fine?

I have my iphone and i don't have a problem, but I'm not the best comparison. this user has LOTS of calendar events, and I have just a few.
this user's secretary has ios6 on her iphone, and she doesn't have problems, and she has a lot of events as another comparison.

someone I work with found something about setting fetch new data to fetch instead of push. there is an explanation that push is used to push data to your iphone from the server, but some applications don't support push, so you can use fetch.
the guy having problems with his calendar said that it seems to be working now.
I'm going to get his specific setting tomorrow

I spoke too soon, The guy that I thought this worked for said that it wasn't working. He said he talked to AT&T ( his provider ) and they said there is nothing to do about it.
